Allow more users to design reports by simplifying query design.

ActiveReports 9 is a reporting tool for HTML5, WPF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET and Windows Azure. It provides developers with familiar Visual Studio integrated designers and components, as well as an extensive API. Create reports ranging in functionality including form-based reports (invoices and insurance documents), transaction reports (sales and accounting) and analytical reports (sales and budget analysis and portfolio analysis).

Updates in 9

  • Layers - Add groups of controls to your report. You can lock or unlock, add or remove, show or hide the group based on your requirements.
  • Visual Query Designer - A graphical interface that improves data binding by allowing users to interactively build queries and view the results.
  • TableofContents Control - Display an organized hierarchy of report headings and labels along with their page numbers in the body of a report.
  • Excel Rendering Extensions - Improves exporting performance with greater layout accuracy for RDL and Page Reports in Microsoft Excel.
  • Independent Rounded Corners (Section Reports) - ActiveReports now allows you to interactively set rounded corners for Shape and CrossSectionBox controls in Section Reports.
  • Set FixedSize Property with Resize Handlers - Drag resize handlers to interactively set the exact height or width (or both) that a data region will occupy at runtime.
